Jim Zaorski

CEO

Jim has been CEO of Sequoia since its founding in 1985. He has helped grow Sequoia Retail Systems from a two person company making cables in his garage to its present scope of hundreds of customers.

He has served on several industry committees and is a frequent speaker on technology related issues at industry conferences.

Jim is focused on listening to great customers and managing wonderful employees. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from MIT and a law degree from Rutgers-Camden.

Rick, Director Customer Support

John Diaz

COO

John serves as Sequoia’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing the company’s Accounting, Engineering and Client Services departments.  In this role he also manages many of the company’s vendor relationships and assists with strategic planning and product strategy.

Prior to joining Sequoia, John served as a director in the Auxiliary Services division of Duke University where he led the operation and expansion of the school’s enterprise wide campus card program.

John has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Duke University.

Rick Hill

Director,
Client Services

Rick is responsible for day to day customer operations, including customer service, technical support, and field services. Prior to joining Sequoia in 2006, Rick spent the previous 16 years in the college bookstore industry, starting as a temp worker and leaving as the general manager of a chain of private bookstores.

Rick's passion for analysis and his industry knowledge have enabled him to bring new measures to Sequoia's Client Services department. Rick loves the interaction with customers and leads the Client Services group to delivering outstanding service.

Mike Strom

Accounting Director

Mike serves as the Accounting Director and is responsible for the daily managing of the accounting department, generation of the monthly and quarterly financial statement, along with budgeting and forecasting for the entire organization. In addition, he also manages the organization’s business accounting software and ensures the efficiency of the processes and procedures.

Prior to joining Sequoia, Mike has held various Accounting Management roles within the SAAS and Manufacturing industry; with primary responsibilities including financial statement forecasting and budgeting, cash management, Sarbanes Oxley Compliance, and quarterly and year-end audits.

Mike has a Bachelors of Science Degree from DeVry University.
