Interstore Transfers
Interstore Transfers is designed for stores with multiple locations or an
off-site warehouse to help maintain accurate inventory levels at both
locations. This application is ideal for merchandise transfers from one
location to another. All data is updated in real-time ensuring accurate
inventory levels at all times and at all locations. See below for
transfer details:
- Merchandise transfers can be created and sent to a remote store.
- Items to be transferred are scanned, and a transfer quantity
entered.
- A packing slip can be printed to accompany the merchandise.
- At the receiving store, the transfer can be selected from a list of
open transfers, and items can be scanned in to verify that receipts match
transfers.
- When a transfer is received, inventory is updated at each site in
real-time, and each store's stock ledger is adjusted by the amount of
the merchandise transfer.
Transfer Requests
If one store location is running low on a particular product, while a
different store location has a higher quantity, transfer requests can be
easily generated on Wireless Partner to have merchandise transferred from one
location to another. Real-time data updates ensures accurate inventory
results in both locations at all times. See the easy steps below.
- Transfer requests can be created at a store and automatically sent to
the warehouse for fulfillment.
- Warehouse personnel go through each transfer request, picking items
from the shelves, entering the actual quantity to transfer to the store.
- Transfer batch is then automatically created for transferring merchandise
from the warehouse to the store.
- When the store receives the transfer, the warehouse and store
inventories are updated, as well as the stock ledger for the warehouse and
the store.
