Sequoia's Buyback module allows a store the opportunity to increase
buyback revenue. Using our intelligent Multiguide system, more books
can be profitably bought back and higher margins can be maintained.
Multiguide Buyback has the ability to load multiple buying guides, which
allows for a broader range of books to be bought back, and at the best price
for both your store and your students. Some features include:
- Ability to load buying guides from 7 different wholesalers: BUDGETexT,
Follett, MBS, Nebraska, South Eastern, Texas Book Company, and Tichenor
- Information is automatically read from buying guides regarding
supplemental materials
- The user decides preferences for author, title, edition info
(OE, NEP, etc.), book grades, pricing and comments
- Ability to buyback books on cash registers, CRT terminals, wireless
handheld terminals (Palm POS+) and Kiosks
- All system sources (Palm, register, terminals), even at remote
locations, are fully integrated making all buyback data accurate at all
times
- Shelf tags can be printed for used books when the books are bought
- Allows multiple levels of in-house buying
- Auto Split function quickly allocates books from buyback to the
wholesalers offering the most money
- Higher margin rate due to broader knowledge of what prices are
available from the wholesalers; you'll always get the highest return
for each book resold
